CUCSD and SIPA Welcomes: Robert Lee from Rescuing Leftover Cuisine

Join the SIPA Food Systems Group and the Columbia University Coalition for Sustainable Development as we host Robert Lee, the CEO and co-founder of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, an innovative nonprofit tackling food waste in the city of New York and others across the U.S. through its network of volunteers and technology!

The mission of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is to become the world’s most widely used solution for companies and individuals to eliminate food waste in their communities, making food rescue sustainable and universal, and food hunger a thing of the past.

To date, RLC has delivered over 10,000 pounds of food in New York City with a negligible delivery cost of just 10 cents a pound making us one of the most efficient systems attempting to end hunger and food waste.

Join us for free food for eating AND food for thought next Tuesday, November 17 from 1-2 pm!

Join us for a Brown Bag Lunch with Charity Water, a nonprofit organization aimed at bringing clean and safe drinking water to developing nations.  Learn how clean water means health, income and education – especially for women and kids.

Lunch will be provided. Attendance will be on a first-come, first served basis.
