Event: Global Divestment Day, February 13th, 11:30am

Global Divestment Day is the first ever day of action for fossil fuel divestment and a coalition of students, religious activists, and city pension fund campaigners are organizing a rally in the Financial District so we can take our message to the headquarters of global finance.

The theme is “Which Side Are You On?”, and we’ll be confronting investors at with the message that it’s past time to divest from fossil fuels and invest in a clean energy future. The New School just divested — let’s make sure Columbia University is the next in the city.

We will be meeting at 11:30 at the 116th gates, to meet up with the larger movement at 12:30 at Broad St. and Exchange Pl. in the Financial District.

RSVP here, too, so organizers can keep track of how large the crowd will be!
