Citizens Summit at Yale University – Green Economy and Social Inclusion (Mar 24)

The two presenters shared their experiences working on green economy initiatives. The first shared a lot of good data on current and future green jobs in a study called “Green Jobs for Youth”, with data broken out by gender and race. The other presenter discussed his experience working with Global Exchange in Detroit on green economy leadership training and driving demand for a green collar workforce.  The group discussion raised some very important points about the need for grassroots leadership and an emphasis on environmental justice.
