Volunteers needed this week!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! – UN Expert group meeting this Saturday/Sunday
WHEN: THIS Saturday and Sunday March 24-25

This Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25, the Division for Sustainable Development is hosting an Expert Group Meeting that will bring together dozens of NGO leaders from all around the world to facilitate Major Group participation in the Rio+20 preparatory process. Major Group organizing partners are in need of student volunteers from Columbia to join other student volunteers from NYU and Pace University to assist in facilitation of this meeting on both days. This would present a great opportunity to get engaged with the UN, CSD and Rio+20 process and would be a GREAT networking opportunity for students to meet and connect with NGO leaders from all around the world focusing on various sustainable development topics such as energy security, sustainable food and agriculture, water security, womens empowerment and many other issues. The group is in need of reporters/bloggers/social media people, so this gives people the unique opportunity to engage with the process and with all those in attendance.

For those interested, please email John Romano at romano@un.org for more information.
